According to real estate data company RealtyTrac, the country is continuing to slowly recover from the housing crisis several years ago, USA Today on July 19 reported.

In the recent report by RealtyTrac, the company identified Florida as having the highest amount of foreclosures, although its numbers have improved by 22% in 2014. The state of Ohio, on the other hand, ranked 7th though foreclosure levels in this state also decreased last year–by 16 percent. Other states with persistently high foreclosure rates were New Jersey, Maryland, Nevada, Illinois, Delaware, Indiana, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Though foreclosure levels across the nation improved by 3 percent in the first half of 2015 compared to last year, many homeowners are still stuck in different levels of the foreclosure procedure.
